Three years ago, ERE put together a killer panel (if I must say so myself) of job-seekers, for recruiters to learn what’s on the minds of the best and brightest students and others early in their careers.
Round two is this October in Florida, where Gerry Crispin and Mark Mehler of CareerXroads have put together a star-studded group of young people to answer your questions, a group that includes Maura Sullivan, the Marine captain with a Harvard MBA who was featured in Fortune magazine.
Crispin and Mehler talk briefly about the panel in the podcast below, and also about:
- What it means to be an “A-player”
- Why Crispin says mediocre students should forget about taking a job “get a life after college” and “learn how to see the world”
- How the job market for recent grads is
- Why Mehler says you’re behind the eight ball if you’re waiting for career placement offices to schedule you on campus
